Terms & Conditions for the supply of goods from Room 13 Collection
Goods refers to a range of interior products designed and produced by Room 13 Design, including but not limited to textiles, soft furnishings and wallpaper.
Pricing and Payment
All of our prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
Room 13 Collection accepts various payment methods:
South African customers have the option to pay via EFT, do a credit card payment via Payfast (Mastercard and Visa accepted or pay via cash or credit card when collecting from The Room 13 Collection showroom.

Customers wishing to do pay via EFT must please contact Room 13 Collection directly, via email or telephone to place an order and arrange payment and delivery.
The prices shown on our website include VAT at 14% when purchasing from within South Africa and exclude VAT when purchasing from outside the Republic. The amount you pay will be the price indicated plus any delivery charges, which will be billed to you separately.
Please note that the recipient of any products shipped outside South Africa may have to pay import duty or other taxes, fees and charges applied by customs or other authorities in the country of receipt. If you are unsure about whether these charges might apply to your order, you should contact your local tax or customs authorities.
*Further information for overseas customers
The actual price charged to overseas customers will be subject to the exchange rate applied by the customer’s credit or debit card company. Customers outside South Africa will also be liable for any customs/import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, therefore you are advised to check the latest applicable local requirements in your country before placing an order.
Once full payment has been received, we will send you an email confirming your order.
Orders will only be shipped once full payment has been received. We will email you the tracking number of your parcel as soon as it has been dispatched.
In-stock items will be sent within 2 working days. In most cases orders will ship the next business day.
Please note: Made-to-order items may take between 1 and 3 weeks to process.
Delivery in South Africa:
• We offer free delivery in Cape Town to addresses in the City Bowl and Greenpoint.
• All other deliveries in the greater Cape Town area will cost R50.
• For deliveries beyond the Cape Town area, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call +27 21 425 4469 for a shipping quotation.
All of our goods are delivered using The Courier Guy, a fully insured, secure, swift service. All orders are dispatched using next day service (in the Western Cape) and 48 hour service in other provinces. All orders will require a signature on delivery.
If an order is returned to us due to the postal or courier service not being able to complete the delivery for any reason, the customer will be responsible for the repeat delivery costs.
We cannot be held responsible for any delays in delivery once the items have left us and are in possession of The Courier Guy.

We have taken the utmost care to deliver a quality product. All precautionary measures have implemented during packaging and shipment.
However, if you are not 100% satisfied with your selection, you can exchange or return it within 7 days of receipt. Refunds or exchanges will only be issued if the product is still in its original condition. No returns will be accepted without notification. Please notify us at email@example.com before returning stock. We will refund you on your purchase and initial shipping costs. Return shipping costs will be for your own account. Refunds for the value of the item returned only will be credited to the customer’s credit card within 30 days of receipt of the returned items.
*Note: Unfortunately we do not accept refunds or exchanges on custom orders.
Cancellation by us
While we endeavour to deliver on all orders placed, in rare circumstances, an order may not be able to be fulfilled. As such, we reserve the right to cancel a transaction between ourselves and the customer during the processing period (48hrs). If we do cancel an order, the customer will be notified by email or telephone, and the customer’s credit card will be credited as soon as possible. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for any possible consequences of the cancellation.
We respect your concerns about privacy and follow strict procedures to protect your personal information. Most importantly, we will not sell, trade or give out the information we collect from you without your express permission.
We require that you provide us with some personal information to enable us to process your orders, for you to make payments and for us to deliver your items to an address of your choice. We ask for your name, telephone number, home address and email address.
In order for us to deliver your order, we will supply The Courier Guy with your name, address and contact number. This is the only third party that we will give your details to.
We will only collect personally identifiable information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve you in view of our legitimate business purposes as set out above, and we will use our best endeavours to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided us with.
For financial transactions we use the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information as it is transmitted over the internet. This encryption scrambles details such as credit card numbers, billing details and delivery addresses so that other computers are unable to decipher the information, ensuring your privacy and security.
